can they really take your lisence of you for taking a tight corner at 30 in a 30? cause they were going well mental and saying that they could have charged us with dangerous driving?

fraid so mate. I had a bad accident when I first passed my test and I was taking a corner at about 60 on a national speed limit road. But they got me for careless driving and misuse of speed.

i came hurning thru town and they were speed checking, a taxi reversed into the road and i was coming round a corner, locked up and skidded across the road and stopped a couple of foot from the pigs.
They told me "going a bit too fast there weren't you"
Me: "yep, there's no denying that"
Policeman: "be more careful in the future......................, bye"
Me: "bye"

Shit, you could well have lost your licence if they had seen the tyres. Not being pushy, but get those tyres sorted mate.

I had a similar incident to you 3cm, was drivin along a dual carriageway near me, giving it a bootful and hanging out the gears a bit then all of a sudden a cop stepped out in front of me with wot i thought was a gatso, luckily it turned out to be a maglite
anyway he said "do u no why we have pulled you?" i said, was it because i had my fogs on? he said yes and you were goin a bit fast!!
Then he looked at my car said "thats i nice motor" c u later mate, slow down a bit, and be on ur way!!
didnt even notice i wasnt wearing a seatbelt!! top bloke!
As surprising as it is, there is actually some decent police out there!!

i never get any trouble with police, been pulled over "twice" in 4yrs! Both were random drink/drive tests.

nearly had an accident with a police car when one came towards me round a bend on a single track road, they were deffo going too fast and i was going about 20mph if that.

Anyway they skidded into the ditch and i just gave them a look and drove on.......they weren't hurt or anything, just in need of a tractor.

Really depends how you talk to them, got pulled the other night, no rear number plate, just a bit of cardboard and blue reverse lights, quick check of ownership and I was on my way.

GT4, he might have been a decent enough fella but if you didnt have your belt on, i would have booked you. Anyone who dont wear them are fucking idiots. No offence.

I know a few people who died in the same car cos none were wearing belts. Went straight through the front windshield. Didnt stand a chance. Those that dont wear em out of spite should be bitch slapped.

when i first had my corsa.. i didnt wear a seatbelt ever.. got pulled once for not wearing it and he said they could give me fine and points but as i wasnt arrogant etc.. they let me off i have worn a seatbelt since and it has 110% saved my life when i rolled my corsa. ALWAYS wear a seatbelt.

Best cops i've encountered were when they pulled me on the M6 heading home from Birmingham in C13.
Blissfully unaware I was travelling along @ 90+mph before seeing the dreaded blue lights.
Approached the car, asked me to get out & accompany them to their car where they proceeded to ask me what speed i was doing.
I was fully aware I had been doing 90 on my clock, but played the fool & said im not sure, at a guess 80? They said try 90 ( he he my clocks were fairly accurate )
So I came out with the crap oh when I put in my white dials I must have mucked the needles up & my 17s must also be affecting the speedo.
Whether they believed me or not they let me off with a producer & a rectification note saying I had to get my speedo calibrated. but as it wasnt wrong went to MOT place paid a fiver & got it stamped
The only other decent copper I have come across was when one ( on his own) pulled up the inside of me in C13 so I raced him upto 100mph & got a thumbs up when he turned off

Yes but only a select few know why you were arrested
Won't be doing that again in a hurry will you, esp as you had to leave your car in the carpark unlocked

best one was when i was in my mates car and he got pulled. Spoke to him and said they had pulled him over for speeding, doing 37 mph in a 30 zone. At this point my mate chuckled and said 'I dont wish to be rude sir, but the signs all the way down this road show it as a 40 mph speed limit. the copper then walked back to one of the signs, apologised and drove off rather embarassed. I couldnt stop laughing
