Got one for my hire car whilst my Corsa B goes in for repair.
Got the 1.2 16v comfort and I absolutly love it, its great to drive, fairly quick, nice looking, loads of space............oh the list goes on, basically I absolutly love it, so much so that I am trying to now save the money for a 1.4 16V SRi in august when I have completed my first year of insurance.
So looking forward to it, should look pretty sweet too with some nice styling.
Kinda seems pointless this post
So what does everyone else think to them??

I am gonna try and get a Silver SRi, love silver as a colour think it looks great, with some nice styling and decent wheels, would looks good.
No too slow either, just a bit pricy to buy at around £7k used and about £1600 to insure, but they are quite new cars and I am only 17, will be 18 when i come round to buying one.

Lets just hope he doesnt put stickers all over it.
I like that, I just have a thing for silver cars, I think they looks really clean when you do a good job washing them.
The SXi is a 1.2 16v aint it?? I have a 1.2 16v Comfort at the moment as hire car and its nice and nippy, but I want more styling and a little bit more speed.
The SXi comes with alloys and nice interior but I want sport seats,

The Sxi comes with Sport Seats, The Sxi engine is the same as the Comfort Engine, but the gearbox i better i think.
The actual difference between the 1.2 Sxi, and 1.4Sri is:
-16" Wheels (which i've got on mine)
-Bigger engine (obviously)
-Very slightly different apholstery
-Silver seatbelts
-15mm Lower
-Air Con
-Metal Pedals
-Slightly different grille (between the fog lights)
-Rear Spoiler
It is also about 1.5k - 2k more expensive, when if you work it out, isnt worth it at all. I'd get the 1.2 Sxi, and if i wanted more speed i'd get the 1.8Sri, i wouldnt bother with the 1.4Sri, cos for that much extra money over the Sxi you're not getting much at all

Thats nice mate, very nice.
So you think I should go for an SXi 1.2 16v over the 1.4 Sri, would save me some money, and its not bad speed wise.
Was just thinking there will be more performance parts for a 1.4 SRi.

There may be more perfomance parts for the 1.4Sri, but the money you will save buying the Sxi instead you will be able to get it looking nice.
I also get 0% Finance on an Sxi, but have to pay 7.9% APR on the Sri, so it is really not worth it for me

If you want to go for engine mods go for the SRi. If you want looks you may as well buy the SXi as that is quick enough for normal road use and cheaper.

ah right, thats interesting. So the SXi is 0% finance meaning it wont cost me any extra to have finance on it.
Also the SXi, what do they come with as standard.......i.e sports seats, aluminium dash, rev counter etc.
The stereo will be coming out to put my Alpine in, and the wheels will come off to put my alloys on, so I will sell the wheels back to vauxhall at the time of buying to save some dollar.

Ah sweet, the stereo will be sold back to vauxhall aswell to save me some more money.
Part exchange on my car is about £2000-£2500 depending on condition. So shouldnt leavem massive amounts to pay, how much am I looking at for a 2nd hand one, with all that equipment??
Cheers for the help everyone. Pushing me away from a quiksilver now.

Thats alright then, I could afford that on 0% finance, very very interested now.
Thing is I wont be getting one until I have completed my first year of insurance so i will have to wait until july to start looking, august to buy.
