I was quite staggered last night when I heard the US have a TV channel, basically for black people. I mean seriously, imagine if I tried to make a 'white entertainment TV' channel, the whole world would be in uproar and I'd probably be sentenced to a million years in prison.
Something like this really fucks me off, the same with Radio 1 and the advert they had going a while back "all the best in black music" imagine doing an advert for "all the best in white music" but of course we can't do this, don't be silly. It's okay for black people to have this channel, but white people are meant to just accept it and get on with it ? I mean I guess so, I'm just driving to put the shoe on the other foot (or what ever that is)
Fact is if a white person said that or did a TV channel for white people, the black community would go crazy, yet we white folk don't say a thing by the looks of it, or do a thing about it.

Probably to do with promoting/capitalising on racial equality (i.e. black people/Asians/minorities etc. get a worse deal in life than white people).

They have a channel calles dave though plus ive never seen a black guy on it apart from seasick steve on top gear. Why dont they make one called mohammed.

It's not just that, they have all sorts of channels/magazines called 'Black ...'. Shocking tbh as you couldn't have White something without an outrage.

a african-american woman died whilst in a BET marathon. her cause was unknown.
and the tv channel did an out of court settlement with the departeds family.
its a network that actually causes death.
this may or maynot be true, but i have heard this.

i think the Brit awards should just be for white people, but that would be racist.
anyway why do they get offended when you call them black

What would the white channel be about?
Walking around a country estate shooting grouse and pheasant then retiring back to the manor for some cheese and port?

You see, even though we live in 2010 and we are meant to have equal rights, that will never quite be the case. It would seem that our generation has to turn a blind eye to the existence of these channels, stations, etc due to our ancestors and the way black people were treated back in the day. It must be some kind of reparation type thing for An injustice inflicted by people who are long gone.
