Whats peoples opinons on them?
I know a few people on here have had them.
Fancy having something abit cheaper to run than the Leon Cupra!

Great car, imo.
I'd probably go for the later special edition in blue with the leather seats, but they are more expensive.
PD130 with a remap and you're sorted. Just don't push them too hard on corners.
Probably won't be much cheaper to run than a Cupra though, maybe cheaper insurance and you'll save on mpg a little.

It would have to be around an 05 plate one as I'm looking to just swap with my Leon!

Had mine for 2 years, awesome car! Did everything i wanted out of it. Only thing it didnt have was cruise control. Engines are awesome, i never had mine remapped but as standard was cracking fun, over taking was a doddle and would happily cruise at 80mph whilst returning nice mpg!
Even when pushing it i used to get 41+ mpg, when trying to be economical, could get 54mpg no problem.

I liked my Ibiza but it just cost a fortune when something went wrong (same car btw with the same engine!)

Do the older shape ones come with those DSG boxes like the new ones do?

Oh right. Is the new one only DSG then or can you get a 6 speed for that too?

Not sure about the new ones, they've only got that 1.4tsi engine though.

You can only get the new one with DSG. Same with the new Polo GTI and Seat Ibiza Cupra versions

I assume they do a manual box option - British people being British people don't like change and wouldn't want an automatic "fast" car

DSG isn't really auto, it's more manual that switches automatically.
