Jonny, you're getting a sleeve done as a first tattoo? You've got some balls.

Mind, it's only at first it hurts as you don't know what to expect, some people say outlining is worse and some people say colour is worse but I say it's the same.

thats what I was thinking

I only have a smallish tattoo but it still hurt. It was a really weird pain. I was sweating like mad, not a crying pain. Cant really describe it.

They dont hurt, and arms definately don't hurt

Imagine getting scratched by a cat, its an annoying itch afterwards. Thats about the closest thing I can think of.

Got one on my wrist on saturday and only noticed it when it got really close to my hand.

Others, one on my hip bone which was quite bad but still not terrible and on on my back and spine which was not too bad

Outlining is the worst IMO, shading and colouring you will probably enjoy

You can't just say they dont hurt as they clearly do for some people and not for others

Fella I went with to have mine done had one done on his leg in the same place as mine but bigger and he wasn't sweating or anything like me. But he had had a few done in the past so maybe a bit more used to it. Plus he is a hard bastard generally

Aye, they say anywhere near a bone is the worst, im taking that into consideration with my design and having to somehow avoiding my elbow

I'm sure i'll manage, I'll just keep looking at budgie's thread and thinking "Well if they can handle it..."

Ill probably pass out

Ok but thats kinda assumed anyway.

Plus obvious things, if he's a bit bigger than you or has a bit more body fat/muscle, it's not going to hurt as much.

I was pretty much just making an overall comment. They do sometimes hurt, yet, how much though is what i'm trying to say. I.e on a bone, it will hurt, but most people could still take it quite easily. On an arm, it is not likely to hurt very much at all.

This man speaks the truth.

Jonny, elbow dnt hurt. (nip it as hard as you can)

Personally I find the ones you can see being done don't hurt as bad. But I guess that's all in my head.

Also, this closer to the bone hurts more is a load of shit. Go get one on your man boob and you'll change your mind!
