as above, girlfriends looking at getting a 106, just wondering of things to look out for?
i know about the back axles going on them. but thats about my limit.
its a 97/8 1.5d

ive got a corsa, she doesnt like them. i dont either to be honest but a 10 year old 12thow car. cant grumble
french cars are alreet. had one for 15years with no trouble. luck of the draw i recon

amazing how many people dislike corsas on here lol. as for 106s. check the boot floor for rot/accidents. also the chassis legs sometimes go bad. other than that its the beam which you know about and then normal things on older cars. ie bushes bearing etc

check for rust on the inner wings!!! just under the ecu and the fuse box!

The only problem I had with my old 106 was the drive shaft or cv joint clunking which is common apparently.

Did over 10k in my 106 and the only thing I had to change was an injector. It had done 115k when I sold it.

More reliable than my Corsa and my Audi.

Look for a Vauxhall badge and if it doesn't have one, don't buy it.

Driveshafts and engine mounts are notoriously shite. look for rust under the ecu tray as well as well as strut tops. Exhausts are wank too, always start blowing. If it's got a sunroof make sure it doesn't leak
