Was driving today and the car cut out, went to start it and it was only turning over like a dododo sound... all of a sudden started then stopped, now it wont do anything lights all come on but all you can hear is like a small sound as its opening something nothing else.
anyone have a clue whats up its been in the gardge all day... no sound from them, had to tow there was 100% dead would not start at all.

Maybe head gasket ?... was temperature high on the car before it cut out?

my car cut out in the snow and it turned out the radiator fan motor had seized up due to it being covered in ice and blew the flew which also powers the starter motor.
mine wouldn't turn over at all though, but would bump start as soon as the wheels were rolling.

well got it back it was the startor moter had gone but i need really bad help i drive along and it just cuts off like nothing i mean anywere i was doing 40 and no sound or anything just alkl the lights come on and it cuts off and drifts ... its bloomen dangerous .. really need some help anyone?

Basicly i have taken it to two good places to have it looked at also vauxhall... they cant find anything ...
i mean after it cuts out all it does is goes dododododododo and turns over but is not starting and smells bad of petral fumes
i mean its scary...

Fuel aeration, any drips anywhere?
Although if you're cranking it for ages it would also smell the same.

no none thats the thing... basicly it just cuts off next thing it tick over but does not start the only way i seem to get it doing is to pump the acc...

they all switch on it like when you startyi it up click it they all switch on and then again to crack yet its cracking but not staeting its intermittent tho only does it when it feels like it.

No they all go off... its really weird , basicly its like this
Driving -
Cuts out-
Turns over but does not start ( seems pumping the gas helps a little)
When it starts it just runs like normal again.
strange noone has heard of it.

After its cranked, i mean i personaly thought it was a inttermitend fuel promblem but noone can pick it up.

If it needs to cool down before it starts again it sounds like the crank sensor, relatively common problem on that engine, they go open circuit when they get hot which causes the engine to cut out, once it cools down it makes the circuit again and it'll start

For the sake of less than £20 it could still be worth a try, as I say they are a common sensor to go
