Not up for sale, but I doubt I'll track it any more... will see how the clio goes.

I've just sold all the performance parts off my s2000, ECU, exhaust, decat, manifold = £1800 I didn't even realise how much shite I had on it. Seeing my car only make 227 bhp @ fly made me think why did I spend so much on these bits.

The clio is actually a project for me and James Butler. We want to go racing next year in the MSV Track Day Trophy series and this car could be a good entry point into the series.

The clio is fully stripped + air con removed and according to the owner weighed in at 789kg on some corner scales.

The plan is to fit an OMP FIA approved roll cage, a fire extingisher and take it racing.

I think I've been watching too much apprentice lately, my negotiating skills were spot on - Had already got him down on price and then at the last minute before doing the deal I knocked him down another £150.

Not sure if it's worth it yet though, I need to get it rolling roaded to see what power it makes. May need to sell the current ktec coilovers and fit some better ones, but worst case scenerio I can resell it / break it for parts.

It's been a long time since i've driven a fwd car without a LSD...

I'm unsure if its the bad weather or the bad tyres but I can't get any power down in 1st and 2nd and taking corners in 3rd just spins up too

Nice exhaust system - Good airfilter, v6 airfilter is always a good upgrade with a k&n panel/cylinder filter, Possibly a remap, Found mine revs alot smoother and my torque curve is smoooth with the remap

I just had a look on cliosport at their 'guides' section... Wow these cars are so easy to work on

I thought the s2000 was easy, but to change rear springs on a clio, just undo two lower shock bolts, jack the car up - wait for springs to fall out... put new spring in and lower the car a bit, then do up the bolts again... BOOM. So easy.

i was looking at that the other day aswel. Good bargain there seems a good weight aswel, fully stripped without a cage.
My ph1 172 usually puts the power down quite well, this weather doesnt help, no point even giving it a quick blast, wheelspin everywhere.
Stiffer suspension and it should help keep the car more firm on the ground, shouldnt have the wheel lifting and spinning as easy then.
If you do decide to split it, you'll easy make your money back. I'd keep it though tbh, so much fun to drive, and should go well with 780kg

It's going to need a cage fitting... basically needs to be 150 wheel bhp / tonne for Class C of MSV.

... maybe it was just the weather today, but in 1st or 2nd it'd just light up the tyres on any attempt of throttle...

matched inlets
v6 airbox
2.5" bore exhaust
map
and a service
should see a healthy figure then

if your going to take the car to a tuning company for a check over, have them look at the timing to see if everything is timed properly, common thing is people dont want to pay the £££ to have the belts done and have it done cheap, ends up timing being out slightly, pulling the bhp down
