There's a mk4 Golf near me for sale with a TT engine, are they 225bhp standard? anyway, I want it, I'd probably buy it if I could sell mine. I love VW's but I hate the 'scene' that theyre are associated with.

The 225 just has a different turbo, bigger injectors and maf, and a 4bar FPR I believe. On some engines there is a difference in port size, and a few 225's had VVT

Personal opinion

To be honest most of the VW people ive met are a right laugh and talk to every one.
Suppose it depends on how sCeNe they really are.

From the various meets I've been too, the whole scene thing is mainly internet based. Everyone I've met is dead friendly and welcoming.

Are you sure? I've never heard that. Why did jbs/custom code only develop the vvt attack on the Leon 225?

it just looks like they've parked up on the grass and broke down, to me.

nice cars, but they all sort of look the same. low on expensive alloys.

They all have an electronically adjusted cam chain tensioner at the rear of the engine.. I cant think of one single 1.8 20v turbo engine that doesnt have this..
