Happy New Year to everyone. I was lucky to get out of Heathrow on the 28th to JFk so thought I would sahe some pics of New York

Fee - we met a group of 4 (2 couples) new years eve who were meant to travel from Aberdeen to Heathrow to JFK on Sunday

They ended up flying to Boston and the 28th and getting a taxi to New York (not sure why they just didnt hire a car lol)

We were meant to fly out from Heathrow on the 28th too
Our flight was one of the only ones that flew out on the 27th and then didnt come back!
The first flight they could get us on was on the 31st, so not much point in going in the end

soooo jealous, hope to go again later this year although may have to be next year now.

dont think id go for new year though other than to say i was there for it and sod queing up so long although my brother did sydney and he said you had to start queing before 9am and then not move otherwise your spot was gone .

Really cool pics mate, did you go up to the top of the rock twice then?

Gonna go back this year myself with the girlfried, went in 2008 for 8 days over new years and it was an amazing trip.. Went to Times Square around 6 pm on New Years Eve but only lasted till 9 and then decided to feck off to get food, was too cold for us, -12 Went back to the hotel after going to some pizza place which was mobbed too, it really is a crazy time of year over there..

We went Nov 2009 so 4 nights was enough for us

If you go new year you need longer as its so much more busier
