Honestly, you will regret it the minute you see a VXR on the road.
Get an older VXR and pay more insurance.

If I saw one on the road wouldn't really bother me , Just dont think its worth the fairly larger insurance increase.

Been looking at tuning can get some good gains out of them ... Wouldn't be buying anything interior wise. Exterior just maybe slightly lowered with some alloys.

exterior looks exactly like mine. including alloys. I'd go for the VXR... but it's not my money

Are they the same mechanically like brakes and suspension and stuff? If they can be mapped to 220 I'd go for it

Not sure TBH, I wouldn't waste my time though I'd just get a VXR.
You say about a remap, that's £300 at its cheapest so add that to your insurance cost and get a VXR.
You get better wheels, better bodykit, better interior, yadda yadda.

Tbh,i would go for the Sri-T if the insurance is that big a difference.
People will expect the VXR to be quick, they wont expect the Sri-T to be quick(after a remap).I like the shock factor.

If you map the car you have to inform insurance which will make it as expensive as the VXR.
