Test drove the car today and it is beautiful love it but feel slightly dissapointed in the pull from the car i dunno why but it just doesnt have the ooomph that i was expecting.doesn't feel much quicker than my 1.6 B even tho it actually is but thats how it felt dunno why.Don't know if i was expecting too much from the car.The tubo didn't give me the kick i was hoping for.

It has had 3 owners first being a garage itself and the last owner only had it 6 months so not sure if there is something wrong with it.The garage wouldnt knock a penny off the price of it only some kind of admin fee that he would know off think it was £100 but would still need to tax it.

It is up for £8841 on a 07 plate is that cheap? by the time you add having to buy the tax on top it was going to be about 9k

Anyone else drove one?

Did it have 99 RON in it?

You won't buy it anyway, that's 3 threads I think so far about it.

I've driven one briefly, didn't think it was too bad but then i've not driven any really faster cars so wouldn't know what to compare it to. Seems cheap enough though, one the same age down my local dealer in arden blue I saw the other day was 10k iirc

Tbh Mark,i think you should just keep the B or test drive an Astra VXR/CDTi.If your not happy with the performance of the Corsa VXR,you probably wont buy it.

Not really cheap no.

Only took 2 seconds to find.

I thought the Corsa was amazing on track. Lacks the sheer grunt of the Astra and bigger cars, but very chuckable through the bends.

In fact for £9k you could have a (slightly older) Astra anyway.

They aren't rapid by any stretch of the imagination but they are a capable all rounder. Wouldn't buy one though.

Re map will give it off a 'kick' obviously but your piston might melt.

Get the astra

The lad popped out to put some petrol in and must have only put a couple quid in because the petrol light was still on and not sure if he put normal unleaded in or super unleaded.

Would that make much difference?

like i've said before, i had a play with one when i had my focus, from 20mph to over double the limit and from 60mph they just seemed to go backwards.

pretty quick up to 60 though.

i'd get an astra vxr instead, worth the xtra insurance/running costs.

WTF, why

It's not like a dealer would be any more willing to fix something due to a past owner than in a private sale. If it's been abused it's been abused. If you do your homework it's not a problemm unless you like spending more than you need to.

standard, the corsa vxr is quite restricted.
Take the pre cat off (euro emissions test) dont need it in this country and get an air filter. The car should feel punchy and turbo will spool alot better. You can get a precat for £80 easy. 10bhp gain.

You still have more of a leg to stand on with a dealer than a private sale.Plus there is some proper dodgy twats out there

I did give it a boot a couple of times coming off roundabouts. It just felt quite restricted and when the turbo kicked in it didnt pull the way i was hoping it to.
