If i leave the car to idle for 30 mins the temperature doesnt go up or move,
if im at idle and rev to 2.5k there is warm heat .. sometimes.

Its not the heater matrix or thermostat or coolant. so im out of ideas ( i had spare from my other corsa to try )

Its as though soon as i rev i have heat, soon as i let off the throttle it goes cold.
dont understand why

I've had the matrix out and cleaned ect

Diesel will never heat up idling, has to be driven.

Whats the reason for this, is there a way round it as you surely cant be expected to drive with a misty window lol.

Not sure what the reason is, just what happens in my experience.

Misty window means moisture in the car, not a bad heater.

No, hence you need to cure the cause and dry it out.

This is also a help or at a stretch gen chat thread.

Gen chat would have been more appropriate.

Preventing the cause of the moisture and drying the car out would also solve the problem, if you want to stick a heater in instead then fair enough.

There must be an airlock, try squeezing the coolant pipes with the expansion tank cap off and the coolant level should go down, then top it up.

Mine didnt work for ages, there would be a tiny bit of heat there but not enough to heat the car.

Pipes were full of muck, took them off and blasted water through them both ways to clean them out. Seemed to do the trick.
