Hello,
Just to let you guys know that a number of people from CS have booked up for a trip to the Nurburgring in May 2011.
Some of us are leaving on the 19th of May (Thursday) and return on the 27th (Friday) - Some people are coming a day later some people are leaving a few days early.
If you seriously fancy coming along then I'd suggest looking into hotel bookings now as they seem to get booked up pretty quick. The weekend and week currently looks packed with TF (most of the week day sessions are from 2pm till 7.30pm) and the GP circuit will be open too which is always good fun.
As far as I'm aware the following internet warriors will be coming along for the full week or at least some time during the week:
Jr
Lee303
Ojc
Steve
fast-as-u-can
Animal
Brian_S
Alan_P
Most of us are staying in or around Adenau which is a busy town/village near the village of Nurburg itself, its where all the evening activities typically happen.
You can check Google and http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ for places to stay and general information about planning a trip, I'm on a 9:40 P&O ferry and returning on the 17:20.
So if you fancy it book some time off work and get on it
Cheers

Heard from a mate that all the prices have gone up, there has been a huge fallout between the company that owns the ring and local businesses, and that alot of people were boycotting it - not sure how true any of it is though.
Roughly what are you looking at for costs - just a ballpark figure - to see if I could justify it this year??

anywhere between 500 and 1000 pounds, all depends on the amount of laps you do, how much juice your car likes , if you go to a nice hotel, not so nice hotel or an apartment and if you crash.

I might go later in the year, and visit mother while I'm in Germany, free bed, and food

A fecking week!!!!
Im home on the day of the 19th May for a month so would possibly come over to do a few laps for a night or 2. Is anyone leaving after the 19th?? Or is there a ferry crossing from the NE Scotland?

I just looked at Hull to Rotterdam, was £350 return last time, almost £400 now. Probably getting cheaper to drive to Dover.

I could take my car to work that time then get a ferry crossing from Aberdeen to Norway & drive from there.
