Going to get myself some poor boys black hole polish and was looking for a wax / sealant to go along with it. Anyone reccomend one? Previously used Meguiars carnuba wax and still have some left if this is reccomended? Also, whats the difference between a sealant and wax?

No snow foam for me. Not going to buy a power washer just for it, and powerwasher we have is an industrial one and dont seem to have fittings that are compatible.
Whats more important, wax or sealant or is both really essential?

I believe the sealant goes on before the wax to increase durability/increase shine? Detailers will correct me if im wrong.

i don't use a sealant, well i use autoglym super resin polish so not sure if that has some sort of sealant in it.
i'd go with a wax over a sealant, then you can just keep topping up the wax on car each week

A sealant is an acrylic based substance.
A wax is a natural wax.
Generally a sealant will offer more durable protection than a wax and offer a deeper shine on a light coloured car (white, silver yellow etc).
A wax will offer a deeper shine on a dark coloured car.
Both can be applied for maximum effect.

A polish will no have a sealant in it as a polish is not designed to be left on the paintwork. It is simply there to polish.
If you use a high quality wax then you should not need add a new layer each week. Good waxes can last 6 months or more.
You can top up sealants too.

I dont want to go onto detailing world, it not full of anal's like vxrmarc? 
Think il go with a wax, be aswell pile on the layers of meguiars carnuba wax and use it up. Csr doesnt need clayed everytime does it? Just every so often to remove contaminents?

i cant tell the difference between a car thats been polished and waxed and a car thats been washed and sprayed with detailer

However, SRP is an all in one product, so does contain a very weak form of sealant - they do recommend you top it up with their EGP for durability though 
In answer to your question though Mertin, for a bargain product that gives great results, unbeatable durability and is easy to work with, get yourself a tin of Collinite 476s or FinishKare FK1000P.

I was going to say that sealants give a more 'Glassy' look whereas waxes tend to be more of a 'Glow'.
A wax would look really nice on your car Mertin, would bring a nice deep gloss to the finish

Shopping list so far is
Poorboys black hole
Collinite 476
New drying towel
Already got a few applicator pads, megs shampoo which I still have alot of and a few megs buffing cloths
Im still using a megs microfibre wash mitt. This ok or frowned upon when it comes to washing cars as see theres a lambswool one?

Lambswool is more forgiving if it does trap dirt as the longer pile will keep it away from the paint.
I use a Microfibre mitt for wheel backs
The Megs lambswool mitt can get a bit scratchy though, look at getting a Eurow or Sonus one.

Btw, Black Hole is a Glaze not a Polish. If you don't have a polish already then you need one as well as a glaze.

Also black hole has had reviews of getting bad results when applied by hand and it achieves much better results when applied by machine.
AG UDS is great for darker colours

Pretty much, peas sized blob is enough for a wing / half a bonnet. Apply thinly, leave to haze, buff off.

So black hole is safe to use by hand? Or is tjere a better alternative out there? Never used wax from a tin before, it soft enough to just "swipe" the pad in it so theres jist enough on the pad and apply it to the panel?
