Not an Astra Coupe like i'd been previously enquiring about.
Something a little different infact.
A B5 Passat 2.8 V6 4Motion.
Its currently owned by an old boy who's 90 this year
Registered in 2000 and only done 44k (so hopefully a minter)
Full leather.
Converted to LPG, so 190bhp, but still cheap(ish) to run.
Its light metallic blue, which I think is a really nice colour so i'm quite excited to see it.
Anyone here had one or had any experience with one? Even an Audi 2.8 Quattro. They're basically the same I think.

I know it'll be a heavy car. Especially if its got a tank of petrol and a tank of LPG, but I think it should still be a wolf in sheeps clothing.

They aren't shy. I wasn't gaining too quickly in my t5 but I was spinning in 2nd and 3rd It will cause a few surprises.

Yup, that colour, but a saloon. Seems quite rare. I can't find a pic of one in that combo.

If they go the same as the A4 2.8 then it wont be quick at all or a wolf in sheeps clothing. They arent all that quick tbh,
Actually it must be a different engine to the Audi if it has 190bhp.IIRC the A4 only has 150bhp.

A4 is more like a Bora
Passat will probably be similar weight/size to A6?

I think the 150bhp A4 is the 2.6 V6

no mate, the passat is a smaller version of the rado lump so 2.8 not 2.9
the passat has 4motion to haul around
the corrado weighs about 1200kgs has more bhp than the passat.
so i based it on that.
so the corrado must beat a T5 from the evidence.

Sounds like a nice car and very low mileage. It'll be on par performance wise with a veccy gsi I would imagine.
They sound the nuts and so effortless to drive as well. Dropped on it's ass with "sceNe" wheels will look superb lol.
There's a few stunning passats on ed38 if you want an idea of a modded one.

When I met him we just ended up chattin about his Enzo.
I doubt he'd have much of an opinion on a Passat unless it was his taxi for the night lol.
