Just wanting your opinions on this please, no poll as they are easy to fuck up.
Should we continue to let people who have the red writing trade on the site? or should we remove threads they make until their problems have been sorted and the writing is removed?
I know what my opinion is, what do you think?

I was thinking this yesterday - I'm guessing there are no names being mentioned because he's a premium member?

Shouldn't let them trade at all even after they have sorted the problems.
If they can do it once, they will more than likely do it again.

No names specifically but it's something I've recently brought up with Ian as I think it's wrong, there's a few threads in classifieds with members with red writing and it's scary to think that people arent put off by this. I think we need to stop it until their problems are sorted.

If it wasn't for the hassle it created I'd let them continue.
People who still trade despite the message deserve to be conned.

I agree with your standpoint Danny, but letting them continue to post means they won't fuck off an use another forum or sign up as a different user which leads to more bullshit.

Which then reflects badly on the site as a whole which isnt going to do any good for anyone is it

People trade at their own risk; collection only and cash when you meet should be the safe option for trading with someone with red writing.
tbh, I don't really care, I wouldn't trade with someone with red writing out of principal but if people want to then its upto them. CS staff have given more than fair warning with the red message

We have the new username thing covered 99% of the time, we usually find them out straight away so that's not an issue. Chances are they use other forums to trade anyway, whethere they have issues elsewhere I don't know but personally I think it makes it look like we don't care that they are 'under investigation'

I think red writing should exclude from posting at all in there

Bad trade, items not sent/received. Conning people, multiple accounts for any of the previous

We cant ban them as it would eliminate a means of communication if they have disputes on this site

If there is a genuine reason behind it like, a close family/friend death and they've obviously got more important things to do than come onto a website, fair enough. But if its a lame excuse like their goldfish got swallowed by a brown bear in the bathtub, then no more chances for them. In my opinion.

Stopping them from creating a new thread, at least in classifieds, would make sense. Lock individual threads if need be (i.e. threads with 10's of parts in)
