Hi guys,

Just for my own piece of mind really,

I came off the motorway onto a wide national speed limit road. There was a silver 05 plate Toyota land cruiser infront of me, i could see no signs of it being a police car. I passed the car at around 85mph and as soon as i saw the high VIS vest and what looked like a police officer i slowed down to the national speedlimit,

I was probably behind him for 5 seconds, then overtook at 85ish then slowed down to national speed limit. He was behind me for a good 5 miles then, when we go to the town centre he just turned off. There was no flashing of lights at all.

Have i been lucky? or in that brief 5 second period i was infront of him doing over the speedlimit could he have clocked me and be sending me a NIP through?

Cheers Rob

Cops don't usually bother you til you do 90+, don't take my word for it though its just what I was told once, obviously if a cop is having a bad day then he may just rape you.

i remember when a police officer pulled us over once because he claimed he saw us throw an apple core out the window at someone, he was just off duty though so on lunch or something, on his own in his own personal car but in his uniform.

he pulled us over all angry and could tell he was itching to do us for something, i do wonder if he was actually allowed to pull us over given his off duty circumstances

as it wasnt a cop car, he didnt even blues and twos me just started flashing his headlights

I once had a speed gun pointed at me while speeding yet the other cop car down the road never gave chase.
Also been thru a couple of cameras and not heard anything.
It happens.

One night I was coming back from Peterborough, probably around 11pm. Went from round about at full thottle(straigh through exhaust, only one box, very loud). Was doing well over 60 and probably around 5k rpm when I though to myself: "I dont remember so many reflective stuff being here" Then it clicked. There were several police vans, probably 10 police oficers, a police car futher down the road. No one stopped me at all needless to say i nearly shat myself when i realised what had happened.

no he didnt have a right to pull you over .. i had this years ago and got chased by them ... thinkin it was just some nutjob pulled over to give him a piece of my mind. said he was an off duty officer and asked if i always drove like a cunt. i said yes and told him to gtf as your offduty and not allowed to pursue *sp cars in your own vehicle. got in his car and drove off

he could allso of been some random bellend pretending but i never heard a thing ... allso undertookhim on a roundabout just after he pulled off with the inside wheel litup on the corsa just to wind him up some more
