Past couple of days been stripping down the nova to get it ready for full seam welding . then rebuilding the car

Plans:

Perspex windows
Needs new bucket seats and harnesses ( ones in it have run out of date )
tank and sump guards
facelift nova bumpers etc
full rebuild of the 1.6 8v engine
powersteering / quick rack
twin 40 / carbs
re-routing brake /fuel lines inside the car
stripping the loom
wire up the emergency cut off
fire extingushers with spray to engine

let out of the astra , straight into a corsa / nova = fun weekend car
standard c20xe back in the astra = another fun weekend car

couple of days off work managed to get abit done on the front end

bay is completly stripped down to bare metal ready for welding

see where someone has bashed the shit out of it with a hammer , dont see why as clearance shouldnt be an issue for the 1.3 it had in it before

bit of rust around the headlight area

half way through doing the inner arches now

soon as the arches are done and its been seam welded its onto its side and i get to do it all over again underneath

some rust in places and its had a sill put in at some point and its a shit job so thats coming off and new one put in.
