Made to look like a 180 they are a very nice looking car I had a hdi dturbo, did have a few problems, saying that I had an astra coupe and had problems with that. Gear change is shockingly sloppy but I enjoyed mine

Personally wouldnt have a 206. My sister had one and it was the most shocking build quality ive ever seen and was nothing but trouble. She got so pissed off with it that she swapped it for a puma.
Keep the astra
Corsa 1.6 sport - 1
1.7 puma engined fiesta - 0
Keeping corsa's on the redline since 2008

My mrs has a 206 . She has had it from new, 8 years. She loves it and it has never had a major problem.
Oh and gti 180's are dog slow, handle well but not quick at all.

I wouldn't say 7.2 to 60 is dog slow. They do look very nice tho.

I would honestly pick a Gti180 over the likes of an EP3/Clio RS etc.
For the money they go for, they are quite a bargain nowadays and aren't as common as the afore mentioned cars.
On paper, they don't seem quick for 175bhp,on the road, they are just as quick,if not a tad slower than the equivilent hot hatches.
Blue 1 with white wheels and a tad of lows would do me.

I had a Ph1 GTi. Was a bit of an 'inbetween' car but i loved it. Alcantara/leather seats, climate control, electrics etc etc.
Went alright for what it was and handled the twisties well too.
Lower models are wank though.

As did mine and she had alot of problems with it but I've owned my GTi for a year now and had no major problems with it at all. Its a nice car, looks alright, pretty nippy, I'm still loving the 138bhp, mine has a Sportex backbox on that sounds awesomes.
I agree about the sloppy gearbox, its awful tbh but thats Pugs for you.
Anyway, personally I wouldn't swap an Astra for one, espc. if tha Astra is one of the sport models.

Agreed and agreed. Defo wouldn't say they were slow.

Cosmetic damage - wing, bumpers etc.
Get an HDI - silly MPG and cheap to run / tax.
Offset pedals and flimsy trim are the 2 main things I remember about them!

Loved my GTi (early one).
Sure, wasn't the quickest of cars, but it handled well and was pretty nice inside (Alcantara/Leather, Climate Control etc)

Not worth it especially as it is a CAT D, been in a bump and repaired, could have many problems, devalues a car greatly too
