08 plate VXR . . 3 owners on the log book? although two of which are a father and son, i was told the father brought it for his lad then switched it over, which is understandable as a mate has just done the same on a 60 plate corsa. The car has never had any warrenty work done (have checked vaux's system) and records of all services done at dealers. It is still under VAUX warrenty for another 3 months, which is better warrenty than if i brought 2nd hand from another dealership (they generally seem to offer RAC/AA warrenty. . .) Normally i wouldnt touch it with that amount of owners on such a new car, but i can understand the scenario as exactly the same thing happened on my mates corsa.

Confused and dunno if i would wanna sell it on to the FIFTH owner a few years down the line
Cheers guys

Depends how long you plan on keeping it.

Keep it a few years, and most of the other VXR's around the same age will probably be on the same amount of owners.

Yea really plan on having it a few years as i have saved alot and am sick of getting 'cheaper' cars.

I guess, some have 6+ pwners on 07 plates, always gets alarm bells ringing though when you hear that

im the 13th owner on my slag 1999 b. think its on its 3rd engine and its had a front end shunt at some point. i love it though. depends on the car i think

suppose it'd knock value off but its like mileage, some people will stay away if its high mileage but some people will look for high miles as they know it'll be cheaper because of it

Alot of performance ish cars end up with quite a few owners.

People want them, buy them then sell them a year later when they get sick of 22mpg

Exactly. It's the same when you look at rx8's. People don't consider running costs when they buy these cars.

Try buying a 996 Turbo. Some cars attract owners who move through cars quickly. If its got full history, is in good nick and has warranty remaining I'd go for it if he wants it.

Drive it a month and give it some stick then in for a service and all warranty issues rectified before it runs out

I don't think I've ever even considered how many owners my cars have had, let alone make a decision based upon it.
