Well today i finally got my exhaust through from sportex with all these bank holidays going on and when i opened it all my centre pipe was badly scratched! Now i know its really picky and i wont even see it but is it worth writing a complaint? i mean it was brand new £160 so should i expect this?
Has anyone else had this?

Pics

Pictures dont show them up as bad :/ i know i could just paint over it but i wanted to know what you lot thought?

I wouldnt worry about it Chris. It will soon get scratched once you've smacked it off a few speed bumps

I reckon they were damaged before they was sent over mate. Mine had a few scuffs on them when i got them and me dad reckoned they got scratched while they've been stored

was it bought direct from sportex?
i tend to get things like that from a powerseller on ebay, if it turns up in that state message them and ask how do we resolve this situation as im not happy...? (BEFORE LEAVING FEEDBACK) being power sellers there feedback is more important to them that £20-£30 refund for your troubles. 9 time out of 10 they'll refund you a cunk of the value and/or send a new one once they have received it back (but then its posting it on your behalf)

haha

^^^he's rite but as we'd say up here "shy bairns get ne sweets"

send them a complaint saying that you've got something like bipolar and your devastated its scratched, its made your whole week a misery you cant even bare to live!

if they say return it, say you cant as you needed to fit it, to take yourself to the doctors as you feel suicidal because of the situation

if that doesnt get you a few ££ then you stand no chance

Suppose its like buying white trainers with dirty bits on them and saying theyre going to get dirty anyway.
Youre never going to see the scratches once its fitted and for all its worth sending it back etc its probably more hassel than its worth.

I wouldn't bother doing anything about it personally.

You should feel happy that it's even been painted atall, albeit with crap paint and not a massively resistant layer etc (I have Sportex myself on mine so know) - most exhausts aren't...

Unless it came unprotected through the post its unlikely the wrapping and packaging scratched it that bad.

The paint will all burn off mate so don't worry about it. Had to adjust my centre section I got off eBay after a couple of months and there wasn't a hint of paint on it

The Ashley backbox I got for my old B came in some not that thick plastic wrapping and had some scratches so I chucked some blue Hammerite on it

id reply with the pics and just say that your not happy as you bought it new and expected it to come in "new" condition!

if you wanted a scratched one, you would have surfed eBay for a scratched one.

just ring them or email them and say your not happy with the product with scratches on it and that you expect some sort of refund or voucher or something.
