well i just told the seller id have the car, just need to arrange picking it up and handing over the cash, signing the papers etc
the car has an s1 engine (and gearbox) with 4-2-1 manifold but standard exhaust, lowered a bit and is bright orange comes with 205 gti alloys.
paint work is fucking shocking tho, but thats not really a problem since its a pure track car although i will probably run it through winter to save the vx from getting battered.
doesnt have any tax and the mot runs out end of the month, so ill get it straight in for mot so i can work the the list of advisories that im pretty sure it will have. the seller did say that its only been driven a bit since the last mot so it should be alright but ill wait and see for that.
checked the car for rust and the usual bits and pieces, and was all ok, the rear bean had just been replaced and all the bushes looked a-ok no wierd noises from driving it which is good. felt quite good too
in totall the car cost me.. £700

quite possibly.. but we will have to wait and see.
tax is peanuts, and mot is free.. so its not a problem.. and because i have 9 months to get it track prepped and ready its hardly a problem.. the dodgy paint is a bit of a let down but its just chipped pain rather than a bad paint job but its a track car and i was more interested in getting a decent runner..
if you find one cheaper please show me where, all i can find are ones that go for well over 1k and up to 2k and i just cant afford that.

the class im entering is for cars upto 1400cc which means any vtr or vts cant be entered. also they are a lot heavier and in cars with relativly low power thats something that really needs to be watched.
here are the crap pics from the advert

Steelies are 14 inch, r888 will be far more expensive, a lot of part worn r888's in 15 inch, far more than in 14 inch, and miles cheaper. Keep the 15's if it has big brakes on, as you wont get decent brakes under 14 inch.

GTI6 calipers fit under steelies, they are more than adequate
