You have to send him a cancellation form. If he agrees you won't be charged.

How do you have it listed? Does it mention quantities available?

I think you will confuse people because it is an unusual service via ebay

"Hiya, yep can do, no worries, I will have to refund £8 though because I will incur a 20% Final Valuation fee, and as im sure you can appreciate I dont want to be money down for your error. If this is ok with you let me know and I will transfer the money."

you dont have a right to cancel if i bid on something and win and decide i dont want it i cant just say i dont want it now give me my money back, that defeats the whole point of ebay!

didnt realise it was 10%, thought it was 20%

I would definitely just refund the full amount and send him a cancellation request so you get final value fee back as not worth a negative over such a small amount. I recently got one and this was the email I got off the seller which I thought was pretty good:

I refunded your purchased price. Hence I refunded your payment directly, eBay will not refund my final fees for this transaction unless it is cancelled. To get my fees back, I'll send you shortly a cancellation request. Please respond.

Once again, I'm so sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

All you have to do is send us your current gearknob in the post for an exchange replacement of a nice newly polished genuine OEM shiny one with the custom coloured letters of your choice.

^^ clearly states in steves ad you sent them your gearknob.

i would just say no because the cunt has obviously not read the advert.
