Right iv been looking at buying one of these for ages now and find it hard to get a mint one...
but really i hear people saying they " kill " evos, sti, type r, 182,172, m3's... etc
so how fast are these bad boys or are they over rated ?
0- 60 times would be good people ?

Quick but not mega quick, certainly nothing to masturbate furiously over. Buy a LET Corsa. That wont dissapoint.

They are slow nowadays. Depends how much you spend making it fast, but it's still a 20 yr old engine and cars come out of the factory with more power out of 2 litres now.
Quite funny they say it beats 172's when the 172 has more power and probably weighs less?

A Clio 172 will struggle to beat one. In a straight line anyway. A Corsa VXR won't be much quicker at all either. They are a massive disappointment.

When I had mine it was the same up the 1/4 mile strip as standard megane r26, and ek9 civic type r. They go well for what they are tbh.

That is entirely up to you? Is it just power you're looking for? How much money do you have? They aren't slow tbh. But there are quicker cars for the same money.

They are a fun car to drive. Get a good engined one and ull surprise a few things but as said won't 'kill' evo's. Standard wrx imprezza I pulled away from till about 90 and then they begin to pull away.

My VTS would keep up with them. They're certainly not worthy of 'killing' Evo's and Scoobies

Just make sure you spend good money if you are getting one, there are plenty that have been made from rotten cars and crap engines.
Will do 0-60 in about 7 secs and I think the F20 gearbox allows for 140mph which it should reach.
Look up Astra GTE 16v stats as they are the same engine with the f20 box and the same weight as a 2.0 Corsa.
My standard Astra GTE 16v with 144k on the clocks did a 15.3 which I was happy with.

There are so many cars that you could get with the same sort of price range for a bit more power. A VTS/106 GTi with a good manifold and system will be as quick, and handle better. An Early 172 would be great in all areas but maybe a bit more expensive on insurance. Obviously you could get the XE Corsa too. But that won't be THAT cheap on insurance if it's legit.
In my (most certainly) biased view, I'd go for an EE9/EF9 EG6/EK4 Civic. Great all rounder like the GTi/VTS but less reliability issues!

It's not looking anywhere near as clean as that at the moment mate And my old XE had an F16 and it felt a bit quicker getting there, but not THAT much tbh!
