Really not happy with the bodywork on my viva due to the original paint that's on it causing alot of problems with the new paint so after this year of shows it's going back to bare metal, getting and new panels that need replacing. Striping it down to a rolling shell and then being painted but what colour?

I've got red leather like my old caddy set in my head for the inside but not sure of colour on the outside. Was thinking a metallic/pearl grey but open to suggestions.

Here is the car;

Will have rechromed bumpers, grill and all other parts done.
Am thinking about polishing the wheels fully aswell.

The interior colour is going to be along the lines of this;

So what do you suggest?

I'll google it, pictures are welcome of colours you suggest aswell!

Tom - you really do want it don't you?

Managed to get 5L of free Du-Pont lacquer that will come in handy for this. A full £520 worth plus VAT for lacquer and hardener and that's trade price!

Also meaning to ask you that mustang the stripes did you use solvent or water?

What about a metallic black, or even a flat glossy black?

Water. Just warmed the roll of tape up then pressed the fine line tape down hard with the back of my nail to stop sepage.

Black is not such a friendly colour as the car needs to be perfect straight and I just don't think I will be able to achieve that easily!

Ok will give that a go. I've used various ways but always get a bit and lines always don't look perfectly straight. May be crap tape but got some bike bits to do soon for a fussy twat!

If you look on my Facebook I based it up in black before the green and just didn't look right imo. Lines of the car don't suit it.

I was gonna do a tutorial on the mustang. Just didn't have time.

To get even spaces use different size tape to come off an edge then tape off that. Will be nice and straight then.
Hmm I'm rambling. What design you doing
