My phone is constantly searching for signal, had it a few days now.

I get signal when im outside, the second I step in anywhere with a roof over my head it searches for signal and nobody can get through. Seems a bit shit.

Anybody having trouble with their phone providers atm? iphone4 btw.

I think there was a problem with the software and poor signal when these came out. Might need software update.

Try a different phone with the same SIM.

If you don't get the same problems, your phone is duff.

It's on the very latest, 4.3.3 I think? Can't remember. Did it last night anyway.

i'd stick another network sim in the 4 and see if it's still the same as it could be a network issue in that location on the 4.
But it does look like a hardware fault if other phones work fine using that sim/network and in the iphone 4 'black spot' locations. See if you can borrow another 4 to rule the phone being duff and if so get it replaced.

Edit - If it isn't nicked/off the back of a lorry and it's still in warranty, your local Apple store should replace it.

Whittie if it's from a shop I don't understand why you don't just take it back?

I mean, you are about to spend £15 to get it unlocked, surely it would be easier to just get them to give you a replacement that works no?

I'm guessing he wants to try a different network SIM in it, but I would just personally take it back and save the £15?

I've got two phones, so if it works on the other network, happy days. If not, it'll be replaced.
