Just noticed front tyres on the Audi are down to the blocks after 18.5k miles
Must be trying waaaay too hard lol.
Need 255/35/19's. Was planning on getting some Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas as they were awesome on my VXR.
The car cames with Pirelli P-Zero Rossos as standard which seem okay but can't help thinking the Vreds will be just as good if not better for less money.
Vredesteins's are £162
Pirelli P Zero Rossos are £221
Any other suggestions?

Got Continental Contisport 3's on my Audi iirc. Seem great although I wouldn't know if they weren't since the quattro is so great.

I have a Diesel Mazda 6, I've been getting 11k.
I had a Diesel Octavia vRS - I got around 10k.
Work hate me.

- Michelin Pilot Sports were good on the Octy, not sure on the latest version though - plus, they were pricey!
- Dunlop SP Sportmaxx - shit- had them on both the Octy & the 6 - not a fan.
The Continetals are definitely the best ones I've been supplied up to now.

Conti's and Pirelli's only last around 12 - 15k on my Dad's Audi and he's been told he's doing well to see that sort of mileage out of them - so 18.5k is damn good going

I'm suprised as it gets driven pretty hard at times.

Granted his is an A4 Allroad (with quattro ) but yeh he's got through 2 sets on this already in 28k miles.
He complained about it when he took it in for a service and Audi told him most need replacing after 10k
His old A4 Avant was getting through the standard Conti's after 11k too iirc.

Yeah...bit of research on VAG section of PH says i've done well!!
Can't believe it!
With more careful driving I'm sure i'd have got well over 20k!
Going for Vreds.

lol Colin. Awesome.
My best is 7.5k for the fronts on my first car... a Corsa C SXI 1.2!!!! Drove it like I stole it tho tbh.
Tbh the Audi mainly does motorway driving so should do well on tyres.

I always had Michelin Pilot Sports on my A3. I was getting similar mileage to you out of the front tyres. They were expensive but lasted well and never had a problem with them wet or dry.

conti's are quite a soft tyre so you won't get much mileage out of them (6k miles on the focus).
the vredesteins are brilliant value for money.
tbh i'd just go with whatever is best value because i take it the audi is more of a commuter car than a car to drive down the backroads at 180mph.
most of the ''budget'' brands are actually quite good nowadays, like hankook and kumho.
