Will the job centre not fund something like this if you're unemployed?

Been looking for a while now, Only way i'm doing it is to do it in stages. Just sent my licence off to et the entitlement aded, then in a month I'll do my theory test then leave it a few months to get some money sorted out and then go do a week crash course and actually get a licence.

Just had a look through a job site, most of the haulage company's and agency's require at least 180 days driving experience in that class (Eg class 1 or class 2)

I did a bit of work with taking money off Job Centres for training and it's a bit of a lottery, some are throwing money at people and others straight away say no chance.

Never seen enough money to do that though. Although they may contribute.

Might be worth contacting a few schools see if they have any experience of that or any contacts in the right places.

Ive got an interview with them tomorrow, I went in to ask for an interview to try and get help actually finding a job, improving my CV etc, all I got was " o well you can sign up for JSA" I think everyone at our local job centre just assumes you are going to just to get the dole

I want my C+E so I can fill a transporter with track cars when we do a day. Then I'll tour Europe picking up rare old Opels the rest of the time.

I've spent 3 grand in the last 2 years putting myself through my class 2, driver cpc and 2 months ago did my class 1.

Couldn't get a job driving a class 1 anywhere apart from agency work so I'm back doing recovery work driving a class 2 and will do agency class 1 work to get experience ove rthe next few years.

Not an easy career to walk into good jobs. I'm lucky my recovery job is something I really enjoy and is 4 days on, 4 days off and well paid. Class 1 work will just give me extra pennies and hopefully lead on to better things in future.

There not recruiting just now even though there website says otherwise. I'm on their shortlist for the next 3 months but no holding my breath.
