Really cant decide whether to spend another 3k and get the turbo or stick with the na.
They do seem an absolute bargain though

only spent a bomb (about 20k) gettingvit to how it is with trial n error. i recon 10k could see you with a car like mine, plus the cost of the car.
if you get an na you could charge it to stage 2 for about 3500. thats 240bhp 200ftlbs ish. only need to put the turbo bits on it if you like the more agressive look.
what i would do tho is get decent suspension if its not already on and a better rad.

yeah i am mate. have been looking for a new motor for about a year now and originally as going to get a hot hatch for practicality but the other half has decided to start driving and has a fiesta so i don't need a boot or rear seats anymore, just want something fun to take out on the weekends but which also will do the daily commute (10 miles each way) and return decent mpg, and vx220's seem perfect.
sick and tired of having a boring common car, want something a bit more niche.
daniel, never saw that one in london, you got the link?

i think the vx has the same kind of capacity as a fiesta its just an odd shape and and the gap is small to get stuff in.
i return on long runs about 38mph now and 45ish standard.

thats really good actually. only thing i worry about as said is whether the 2.2 has enough standard power or spend the extra for the turbo.
being stuck in a puma for 18 months, i guess it'll be like a rocket ship tbh as long as it's about the same as i remember my focus then i'd be happy really.
would like the turbo bits though as i think it makes the car look so much more appealing.

the standard car will realistically do 0-60 in 6 seconds but book figures are 5.5 so take it as you will.
the turbo will be about 5.2ish to 60 realistically and 4.7 book figure.
its not down to straight line speed with either car tbh, although the turbo is a 150mph car and the 2.2 140mph, so both not slow.
the NA arguably handles better in standard form but im a bit sceptical tbh.
you can get the 2.2 to about 160ish without spending a fortune but its not really worth it tbh. either s\c it from the go or get a turbo both will cost about the same.you will just get more bhp/tonne going down the 2.2 sc route.

cheers chris. i'm not really a top speed warrior, prefer acceleration and handling.
