Hi guys, I built a Road rally Corsa nearly two years ago.. 5dr, 1600 engine, cage, buckets, Quaife box, spots etc..
Since then, the car has started to become tatty with a few battle scars over it.
I've fitted two new bumpers to the car, new set of wheels (in white) was just wondering:

What colour should I do the car? What looks good?

The car is originally Flame Red, I was thinking of going a fresh coat of peugeot GTi Red or A coat of orange.

What colour would you guys reccomend? and ANY PICTURES?

Would be very useful, Thanks.

That's it with the new facelift bumpers fitted mate.

Also what i'm not sure is do I paint the arches and handles or mask them off?

White with red wheels? Seriously though?

Staying with white/silver wheels for definalte... Not liking the 'track' and 'scene' thing.

Get asked that alot mate..
Found that it handled better than a 3dr because of the stiffness of the shell was the main part. Also, there were/still are LOADS of 3dr corsas on the road rallying scene around here, so wanted something different to the norm, certainly created a stir!

And mate.. another thing to think about.. when Fitting a Weld-In cage its MUCH easier with a 5 door You can get at the cage much easier to weld the floor boxes, also decided to take it to the rear chassis rail points rather than the arches like the 3dr (where there's NO strength!)

You know it makes sense

Rule from the MSA in the blue book for road rallying is that all major pieces of interior trim must be inplace unless its being replaced (bucket seats & harnessess) or being modified to make room for a safety feature (hacking at dash etc. for the roll cage.

JedDy, unfortunately it has to be one single colour for road rallying, no stickers and decals etc. either.
Chris, It's a Safety Device Cage with the cross bars at the back and harness bars.

Whats entailed in this road rallying lark then?

Rules seem quite strict. Guess that keeps the costs down though?

Was going to say you need to keep it one colour. Presume you do 12 car rallies?

I do 12 cars but can't enter any msa ones as it hasent got alot of the original interior in. Alot of rules for it, like original carpet, door cards, dash, rear seats.

I am currently painting a mk2 astra for 12 cars that is msa registered and I've painted that in the new Clio cup blue colour with anthracite wheels.

Either go for red, or glow in the dark fluorescent type colour. It will keep you off the drink the night before
