I got my engagement ring from http://www.samarajames.com/
I went for a .50ct, G colour, very good cut, etc.
I ignored the online price and emailed them direct. They sorted me an amazing diamond that is certified and sparkles really well.
Don't waste silly money! Just get something nice.

I think i understand the ct thats the size isn't it ?
and then you get different clarity, the higher the less imperfections the more sparkle?
don't understand the colour though ?

I agree with fazza on this one, whats the point in spending more than £250 when you could spend it on much better things like a deposit for a house together.

I would feel cheap spending any less than a grand on an engagement ring, which might be why i'm not engaged yet

Colour starts at D in the alphabet.
The closer it is to D the more expensive and nicer it'll be.

Yeh but surely the women can tell its a cheap ring?
and i totally understand the whole moving out part off it with money, but to be totally honest i wont be moving out for a very long time yet, and she pritty much lives at my house any way
i just wont some thing that will take her breath away and she will be proud off.

go on http://www.samarajames.com/
choose a setting you know she'll like and then price up a decent diamond. The higher the price, the nicer the diamond.
