I use AG bumper care. Brings them up a treat every time! I don't how long it lasts though as I just give the blacks a going over everytime I clean the car so they don't dull down.

Another vote for bumper care, keep the plastics black for about a month and then starts to fade, if you really want something that keeps them black then this will be your best friend....

Iv use car plan trim wax stuff for years and normally last quite a long time but would like a product that gives a darker finish (satin not glossy)

I used to use the heat gun method or AG bumper care.

Just purchased megs tyre gel and heard good reviews so I'll give that a try on my door strips

Does the finish last long Dan?

Never really used meguiars products but looking up on them they seem very impressive some might stock up on some of their products.

Supernatural Trim Sealant? Gloss or Satin finish.

I wouldn't suggest applying silicone tyre dressing all over your trims though like many of you are doing (Megs Tyre Gel)

I use a couple of bulk Autosmart ones, but have very little black trim I have to dress these days!

That said, I used Autosmart Trim Wizard on this Octavia VRS the other day:

A lot of trim dressings are silicone based too, but the Megs tyre gel is very high in silicone content. It also attracts a fair bit of dirt due to that reason - becomes dusty quickly etc.

It isn't designed to be applied to trims - it's designed to be applied to rubber which it'll semi soak into. Black trim isn't rubber (99% of the time anyway) so it just sits on the surface.
