should i use a hair dryer to heat it? also best way to get it into any holes and keep the edges neat

why are you covering it? what's wrong with silver?
You could of got the air-con version and it would of had two holes for your switches.

the silver coating got chewed up when i drilled the holes for the switches, its like a tin foil thing, and it just peeled off, easiest just to cover it in a wrap

I covered mine last week with CF film. piss easy to do. place it on, heat gun it (at safe distance) and it practically makes the shape for you. then just stanley blade round the edge. let your g/f help but make sure shes supervised when using sharp items
