You getting fed up of trying to stealth around enemies all the time?
Most of the time I just get bored and start shooting
I failed one of the side missions as well (shot and killed double t ) fail!

i managed to shoot all double t's mates then when threat level went down i sneaked up behind him.
Took me ages to find a way into the police station, then remembered you could pick up boxes and stuff so stacked a couple of dumpsters up next to the fence and jumped over, ghetto
now stuck with how to find a weapons shipment on gang turf without anyone knowing im there.

Asking if you should get a FPS game for the xbox or pc is like asking should you go on holiday to London or to Barbados.

Yeah thanks for that. As far as I can tell it isn't a straight up fps game.

Played this yesterday and seriously it's awesome. Essentially total freedom on how you play it. e.g. you can spend ages stealthy going around guards, or find a hidden enterance, or sprint it past, or talk your way in or shoot your way through, etc.
but as an example, I was on a mission at the police station to check something out, talked my way into the place past a guard (I later found out I could've got in from the fire escape at the side) (EDIT: or as adam B said above, piled some boxes up and jumped a fence LOL) ... now the cops were friendly to me.
But I got greedy hacking into every terminal I could find (gives good xp points) and got caught by a cop, who had warned me already a couple of times. So I quickly dropped him to the ground and hid his body.
In some games, every cop would now be after you, but in this game because i did it without anyone else noticing i got away with it.
Then there was a room that was the police armoury - the guards instantly stopped me getting in there and told me to clear off (this wasn't even where I was supposed to be on my mission).
But I found a vent, sneaked into the room and took out the guard inside with a stun gun. dumped his body in the vent, hacked into the computer and unlocked the armoury.
Now I'm carrying some awesome weaponry and plan on finding a gun dealer to sell half this good stuff to for credits.
Now, ultimately this is not the mission to do this, infact it may prevent me doing things later on in the game. Like I heard of a shop keeper being shot and then the player not being able to buy from that shop any more - it's highly likely after this either some things that would've been available from the police won't be, or that they're going to have a more negative stand point to myself in the future.
Either way, I like it's freedom. Most games would just fuck you over as soon as you don't do the safe normal game path, e.g. waves and waves of enemies until you die.

sounds pretty awesome, gonna have to get this, i like the idea of freedom on how to do missions. I always enjoyed the Hitman series of games for that reason

I've actually read it's entirely possible to complete the entire game non lethally. Not killing a single person (excluding a boss I think). Infact you get an achievement for it.
Thing is, that's just not my style. I like a bit of stealth, but i like to know they're dead. I'm going to sell my stun gun and just equip all my guns with silencers... shoot to kill.
(Haha, actually it makes me laugh that the 'punch' / 'stab' functions despite not showing up around friendly civilians still works... So like these women were having a chat, I walked up and they told me to get lost - 'private conversation' - so i smacked her to the floor... and shot her mates, then hid in a bush while the police turned up.

i like sneaking round taking people down with my modified pistol (silencer, quick reloads and armour piercing rounds) then leaving the body somewhere obvious so everyone freaks out
Sneak and repeat till room cleared
I fucked up talking to the police guy and he wouldn't let me in, going on a looking for Sarah Connor style rampage sorted it.
