Been reading a bit into this, clearly its a complicated affair setting up a proper rear bias, and ideally should be done with measuring equipment.

To add to the complications my stock master cylinder has the bias done courtesy of the master cylinder, quote from TIS

Suggests that sticking a proportioning inline with a stock bias system already in place is a big no no and can produce unpredictable results, tbh this was my thoughts anyway.

Also it points out that putting better brakes on the front will increase front bias and removing weight out the back increases rear bias.

Taking into account it also advises where possible to just leave the stock system as is, is it worth just leaving it judging by iv altered biases front and rear and potentially have just evened each other out?

If i do stick a rear bias valve in, is there an easier way to get it roughly right?

PS 3rd party tandem master cylinder not an option at the moment, thats a plan for the future so no suggestions about that please

adjusting the rear bias is vital for all situations, not just on track, otherwise why would manufacturers need to adjust it just for road cars.

as i have fitted the larger front brakes and taken all the weight out the rear its pretty important it gets set correctly regardless, it affess ALL braking situations

so if you hadn't bothered taking all the weight out the rear you wouldn't be in this situation

take it somewhere proper to get set up. its just as important as steering geometry and that isnt something you try and wing on your driveway

I suggest you fit a 3rd party tandem master cylinder, that should help.

thats where it will go eventually, but its a bit of a faff as will need new brackets etc welding in

i think leaving it is a good idea until i have a suitable MC

then doing what jake said and take it somewhere to get setup

Yes. Tbh unless you are changing to complete sperate system and ditching the oe mc and changing to pedal box seperate resoviours for front and rear, then I would worry about rear brake bias, but whilst it's done for you in the existing mc; or like a corsa with a rear brake proportioning valve thingy it's pretty pointless.

Yep. Stripped the interior of the car which has ended up creating more problems like this and also the fact its now unbearable to use on a daily basis but he won't admit that to us. Kicking himself that he went to the tip with all the interior now and secretly wishes he could put it back in
