Never had so much bother selling a car. Must have been the price of tax that scared everyone off lol.

Oh well the LCR I've bought to replace it with is more than worthy IMO.

Saving over £200 a month now which is crazy for a car lol.

Bought my old red one back. Went to view it and it's still like new. The same guy only put an extra 12k miles on it over the 2 and a bit years he's had it and at less than half the price I sold it for I bought it. It's genuinely the one car I wish I kept lol.

That's great news!
I wish I'd kept my old Fiesta

Any plans for it? or is it already modded?

I think my standard TIP is collapsing on mine. I keep getting EGT errors (and then MAF errors when the EGT is unplugged).

That's the thing that worries me about selling my Mazda, is the tax putting people off.

Probably, as I wanted a Mazda6 MPS but would only buy a pre 23 March 2006 reg because it's half the tax.

When people are spending around £10k+ on a car, i very much doubt that they are at all worried about the price of road tax.

Why not?

£400 is a massive running cost, 10k isn't much for a car.

Yeah people can't warrant £445 a year I guess. I just see it as a once of the year thing, only times it annoys me is when I hit a massive pot hole like today and I swear quite loudly usually quoting the road tax price I pay. But it doesn't bother me, but bothers alot of people.

I do.

And it's silly that you can buy the same car just a little older and pay half

it's because most people don't budget the £40 or whatever it is per month, so when it comes to tax time, people have to pay £445 in one lump sum from their wages, which probably stings a bit.

whereas saving £40 a month over a year wouldn't quite hurt so much.

Or do it the opposite way, bang it on a 0% credit card and pay it over a year. So yeh I basically do what Ben says and I don't even miss it

Got a few plans for this but it's a bit modded already. It's got a liquid gauge race tech thing fitted which is a brilliant piece of kit, does almost everything that vagcom does plus a bit more like 0-60/100mph times, g force meter, bhp/torque reader as well. The cars mapped to 269bhp/266lbft with all the standard hoses and exhaust. The only other engine mod is a green panel filter. It's got the poly bush dogbone mount done as well us up rated ebc discs and ds2500 pads.

And it on star performance rollers

Standard colour just now. They have a darker tint to them tho. I was gonna go gloss black wheels lowered on either weitec springs or ap coilovers.

If people are worried about spunking out £400 quid a year for tax on a performance car, then why not just buy 6mth tax at a time. That way its not such a massive hit on the wallet in 1 go.

Or get road those road tax stamps every month and save them up for the year.

Because it's still a pisser when you fork out £260 for 6 months and you know that someone with a more powerful possibly better car would pay that for a year.
