Hi All,

I got this email from Irmscher about my enquiry. I asked if the Airdam will fit a car with power steering and air con - as on the Vaux websie it says that it won't.

this is the reply:

Dear Sir,

The front airdam part number i1201002 has foglamps which go back into the bumper some distance so catching the air con pipes and if memory serves me correct the washer bottle is in a different possition for cars with electornic pas, so causing more clearance problems.

The bumper on its own can be fitted without the foglamps and there was a dealer who found foglamps to fit in which were different, unfortunatly i have not got there details as it was such a long time ago when they did it.

-----

Does anyone know how easy it is to fit it or can it not be done? Any further information this woudl be helpful.

Sounds feasable. Where can you buy aftermarket fogs from?

Oh my god - its beautiful. Its the best 'subtle' bumper you can buy - perfectly compliments the car, made from perfectly moulded plastic and costs the earth!

This is the Cat Deeley of Corsa aftermarket bumpers

About £500 I think. Could be way off but that number rings a bell.

Ok here goes,
The airdam bumper does fit cars with PAS and air con, the only reason Vauxhall say that it wont fit is becos it catches the washer jet bottle. All u have to do is unbolt the washer jet bottle and drill another hole around 2-3 cm further back and then it will be ok.

Heres pics of my corsa!

Btw this bumper costs £350 new

Front end i got 2nd hand. Theres someone selling them for about £270 in Classified (look back a week or 2). Thats brand new.

Otherwise, Vauxhall charge around £400.

Rear bumper was £250 from Vauxhall, but got a discount down to £225 so i was happy enuff.

Skirts are £220 brand new, but pop up in for sales every so often for stupid prices sometimes. peopel dont obviously realise the quality of this kinda stuff so sell it cheap. I was well happy with paying £140 for 2nd hand stienys! They go cheaper than that now though.

And the best bit, as u all know, its plastic
