Thinken of swapping my corsa 1.4 sport for a vtr what are they like performance wise any good tuning options ect??

No point tuning as may as well buy a VTS if you're going to do that. They're decent cars tho, loved mine at the time, but the VTS does kick their ass.

VTR will be quicker and handle better I assume.

A VTR will do 0-60 around 1- 1.5 seconds quicker than your corsa and they are suppose to handle better.

in that case theres no point putting power boxs ect on 1.4 sports because you might aswell get a 1.6 sport.

the vts is alot more to insure yes the performance is better but the vtr is still good to mod mines about 110bhp if you trust rolling roads (i trust this one as a few standard cars ran pretty much bang on power) on a 90bhp engine with a 4-2-1 manifold, a decent exhaust and the enclosed raceland with green filter.

im not arguing btw as you said you liked yours but i hate it when people say might aswell get a vts when the insurance is stupid on them, a vtr with 16v engine declared is cheaper to insure then a real vts

I loved the handling of my one. It was nippy at best (and that was completely stripped out with 113bhp), but it was great to throw around. What VTR is it?

My first car was a 1.4 Sri and my friend had a vtr and his was considerably quicker!

game as the little vtrs. had a mk1 and it was plenty fun. chuck a 4branch on, induction kit, 1.1 gearbox and you`ll have a barrel of laughs

8v power I believe !

Pretty decent cars, I would go for one over a 1.4 sport any day.

Only bad thing is the pedals are really close together.

I've heard a few folk complain about that, but I never really had an issue with the pedals in my VTR or XSi and I have big feet

pedals are close but i have girl feet, i went from a 1.4 sri c to an 03 vtr and yeah theyre a tad cheap inside but fuck me theyre fun... i gave mine death from cold for nearly a year and it never once went wrong

probably the best car id owned at the time

I don't believe it didn't break down. It's French, therefore it will automatically fall to bits at some point. It's actually a part of the service to pull bits off.

great cars,if its a mk2 with 3 plug ecu theyre really economical too, 50mpg+ on the motorway

Their not built the best, but their not all that bad

Not as reliable as your civic though, but the valvers are just as fast

pedals are close together but im 6foot 4 and drive mine with my work boots on and have no trouble at all.
closer pedals are more fun on track days! heel and toe technique

I would go for it if I was you. Inwas put off by going French after peoples comments. Iv now just bought a 106 gti and it's the best car iv had. Pedals arnt bad at all. I'm 6ft2 with size 11 feet and havnt once struggled. Only problem is the gears feel weird, they seem dead far apart, iv just ordered a quick shift to hopefully sort this

Deffo test drive it you will fall for it
