I am 21 and completely hate my job
I know I'm lucky to have one and it's a safe job
Been there for five years now :/
My question is have you ever changed your Career?
Did you find the transision easy ?

I'm having a day of it today - I had a bollocking earlier for "doing too much work" and "being quicker when I do 2D drawings than 3D"; We don't even have a 2D CAD package - I'm still a little bit perplexed as to the sheer stupidity of the people I am employed by
Been here 5 years and I'm a week off 28

I'm 22, left school after my a levels, qualified as a manager at maccy d's, left, joined the railway on the platforms, 3 and a half years later I'm in a supervisory role and there's plenty of opportunities to progress further, can't complain!

im 23, left school and trained as an electrician. Didnt really enjoyed it so quit after getting my nvq2 and went into sales.
worked in a phone shop since i was 19 pretty much and have just bought a into a franchise scheme so now run my own mobile phone shop.
I enjoy interacting with people and cant see myself doing anything else tbh

i went from being a supervisor in a supermarket to a production worker in a factory building engines.
quite a big change to say the least, but the hardest part for me was starting again and meeting new people.

get a job that allows you to get degrees whilst working, best way to go up in the company.

11 gcse's and 5 a-levels. can go for an engineering degree in work if i want, may do that in a couple years.

Seriously, fuck work! Go to uni and have the time of your life. Meet new friends, girls, etc.
Get a decent degree and by the time you've finished this country might have some jobs going.

I left school at 16 with nothing basically, I was bright, just did not try at my GCSE's.
Worked with the company I am with now since I was 13, started in a chip shop as a potato boy. Worked up to Supervisor/Manager at 17, at 18/19 I left to try other things, got a call to come back, said I would be put through college and Uni as a Surveyor.
That was 4 years ago, I am still with that company doing my degree and getting on the job experience too, I now work in their developments side as a trainee surveyor.
If I went and got a degree first, I would be stuck with 300 people finishing Uni at the same time with the same degree wanting the limited number of jobs!
Find an employer that will take you on and train you.

they do. as said above, i can quite easily do an engineering degree at my work.
1 day a week i can go to college to study.
i just don't want to do it now as it's a lot of work to take on.

Im 23 had around 6 jobs since i was 16 get bored easy. So now i have made the move to IT contracting, start my first one in a week

left school with piss poor grades, went to college, did a few years media, IT and larking about, left course midway through, got a job in retail, lost job in retail, got a job driving new cars, lost job, back in college now studying to be an electrician, gotta have some kinda trade or something else ill be fucked for years to come.

24 and want to go back to my old job as a laminator but no one wants to hire me as i've only had 'minimum experience'
best job i ever had, playing with carbon firbre everyday.
Im now a box pushed in a warehouse and its repetitive as fuck

You already have that job. I couldn't get that job because they don't currently exist.
There are no jobs.
May as well go to uni and get a decent degree (not a mickey mouse useless piece of shit) and then use it to get a job in 3 years time.
Most companies these days want people with degrees.
