I maintain that being drunk is as much down to the placebo effect of "oh, i'm drinking, I must be drunk" as it is to the actual effects of alcohol.
I got someone absolutly pissed, staggering, slurring, falling over, aggression followed by overly affectionate and all I'd been giving them was Kaliber non-alcohol beer in pint glasses. They had 5/6 pints of the stuff and acted like a cock!!

I do think however that some people should just not be allowed to drink fullstop. I like drinking, its one of the few things Im good at

wasn't aimed at you Jonny sorry, more at Matt but I started writing the reply before I knew you had posted.
I'd say the guy is relatively normal, 3-4pints and he'd start to show signs of being drunk, 5-6 and He'd definitely be drunk.

I'd like someone to try that on me, the only people I can see it working on are the sort of people that try and kid on they are drinking but actually miss out rounds or dispose of the drink otherwise.
Alcohol has a physical effect, surely a normal person would know.

She talks a bit of sense.
The campaigns are misguided, that is correct. And that alcohol doesn't cause the problems by its chemical effects.
I don't get violent when I'm pissed, and the people I know who do are can actually be just as much of a nightmare when they're sober. It just isn't as obvious.
