Well my 3 jobs have been shop assistant -> working on narrowboats -> building services engineering, so all are quite different really

loading trucks>removals>wearhouse>drivers mate....all in the course of a week

since those uni summers i have been in Engineering

the industry changes are the big ones

BOC Edwards: Vacuum Pumps (developement engineer)>Marshall Aerospace: Aircraft (structural design engineer)>Microsharp: coated plastics (Production engineer)> Crown: food and beverage can (developement engineer)

the roles change considerably, design, development and production are quite different disciplines but there is little to no cross over between companies!
