Do you go every 6 months like you are recommended to?
I haven't been in a year due to moving house, but I have only ever had 1 filling and brush twice aday so should be ok.

You don't have to go every 6 months - I go on my dentist's recommendations which currently is every 18months for a check up and 12months to the hygienest. That 18months has steadily grown, it was 6months when I was younger and more complacent about brushing my teeth twice a day, now I'm much more dedicated to keeping my teeth in good order the Dentist says I only have to go every 18months

I'd go if I had an issue.
Will start going again soon because Alfie will need to start going.

The other month. My wisdom tooth was infected and the crappy dentist didn't believe me. Doctor gave me antibiotics which cleared it right up.
Stupid thick bitch.
Can't stand these idiots any more.
Might go on a rampage
ps. I don't have any fillings

About 3 times this year and got to go a few more times too. Having two wisdom teeth removed normally from the top and one done surgically later on from the bottom.
Though I normally just go when the dentist texts me to tell me I need an appointment

I'm actually going on Thursday. I go every six months. I'm 23 and touch wood, still don't have any fillings.

I'm due to go at the end of this month and apart from one tooth, I've never had any problems with my teeth at all - n other fillings but one sheared off in a bacon/sausage related incident. I ended up having a root canal on it twice and now have a crown but the crown is fucked; the top layer of porcelain (or whatever it is they use for white crowns) has started breaking up - that'll be a nice £££ bill for a new one

I joined a private dentist the other year and I was told that my teeth were fine.
They fucking hassled me 6 months later with a million phone calls and then got really arsey with me when I told them I didn't want to go.
She said "Well, we're going to have to archive you then"
I said "fine"
and have since joined a shitty NHS practice that is cheap and shit.

Didn't go for abour 7-8 years then got on an NHS dentist around he around 18 months ago.
Ive got an 'impacted' wisdom tooth that i've had no pain with but had to go every 6 months for them to keep an eye on it. Got an appointment this Thurs, going tell them its hurting so they get rid of it.
Also going make up some bull shit about people bullying me about my crooked teeth see if I can get some braces since Invisalign wanted £4k

i went religiously (thanks to my mother) every 6 months right up until i went to uni.....they dropped me from their list as i wasn't attending
5 years later i meet my gf, a dental nurse, she was horrified to learn it was at least 5 years since a professional had seen my teeth, and booked me an appointment...nothing wrong, a bit of professional cleaning would have helped but no fillings required, no gum disease, no reasons to think i had 5 years away from the dentist...needless to say she was fuming!!
since then my dentist has said i only need to see him every 12 months

Yep, dentists are one massive rip off and you have all be sucked in. How exactly is filling your teeth with metal going to do you any good ?

yep, the people who go regulary spend more money and have more problems, then those who don't go, but look after their teeth.
maybe in the olden days dentists were more applicable, but nowadays they are scaremongering
