Waste of time so far, literally never watched it other than to try or show someone else.

You can't buy a decent TV without it though so you don't really have to even consider it.

Quite a lot of pixels.

Any 50" at that price won't be amazing though so don't suppose it matters.

I've got one for playing games and watching fitbaw. Never actually watched a film on it But for football it's great. The level of depth you get is unreal!

There's no opinion involved, there's a massive physical difference.

Whether you can see it or not is a different matter.

Do you have a 720p TV?

The only people who say there's no difference between the two will be people who don't have 1080 TV's

does xbox transmit in 720p over the component cable? if it does theres a noticeable difference between my xbox in 1080p over hdmi than my flatmates on the same tv with component, im not sure how much of that is due to resolution or if its just the cable used

Yeah can set it as that on xbox but my TV still receives it at 1080i. I've heard component cards on TVs can vary a lot so that might be it

I can't tell the difference between SkyHD and Blu Ray on the same 1080p tv.

Also, I always thought very little Xbox content (games) was 1080p anyway.
