Right Christmas is upon us and as that's a good excuse to get every penny i can i'm gonna get an Exhaust for my 1 litre wonder but...



  1. Whats good ?
  2. What will last ?
  3. what sorta prices are they ?


    Oh if anyone fancies selling me one for a decent price that be nice too ?

Arn't they quite expensive ? and im only really after a backbox, as my 3 pot engine sounds like a diesel

His was just a backbox and I think it cost him £90/100 new, something like that.

I had a custom backbox on my 12v but it sounded standard for some reason.

Not much point in a full exhaust, get a back box only.

I had a sportex backbox with a race tube on mine. Sounded pretty damn nice for a 1.0

As NobleOne said, on my old 1.0 B I had a standard centre section with an Ashley backbox. I got it for about £80 which was the best price at the time, but that was from Chris Astley Motorsport who stopped trading in 2010. Sounded good though, nice and deep

You can create induction noise by removing a part off the side of the air filter box which I also did, that helped quite a bit too.

You will need a reducer piece to fit it to the standard centre section though as the diameter of the 1.0 exhaust is smaller than all the other engines, so the backbox won't fit very well without one.

i had a sportex backbox with a straight through centre and was too loud and sounded rubbish. so i bought a standard centre section and sounds nice and raspy will get a decent video for u tomorow......

also have to agree with sean his did sound pretty nice

my 1.0 sounds good with a drilled air box and a fucked front section rest of its new, people keep asking if ive done a conversion on it lol

Yeah, yours sounded like it had alot more than a 12v in it. Sounded fucking awesomes!

Get a cat back sportex Cheap as chips
Or do what i did with a small engine, Get just a powerflow back box made

Sportex is the cheaper option

Yeahh that ashley sounded nice man! not over the top i don't wanna be driving around at 30 sounding like i am doing 90 if you get what i mean, i thinking about getting a sportex backbox just for now like shaun said but cheers for the info guys really helpful I'll try and get some pics up of my ShedMobile later

who said this mate cos i think some one has been pulling ya leg not being funyn or anything.

exaust wise i would say standard i abserlutly hate the sound of mine it is rediculas i hate raspy cars to start with lol mine was on the car when i got it and will stay on till the conversion unless MOT says other wise no poin in me investin in another when i will be changing it agen haha
