Had it a few weeks now but was waiting until i had the right front bumper/some day light to get pics etc.
Spent too much money this year on holidays/going out so the mini had to go as i was fed up with being on the edge with money. Got a good price for the mini. But wasn't sure what to get next.
dad had bought this as salvage (hit in the front) Just needed bolt on bits and he offered me it for a very good price fixed.
Big drop down speed wise from what I've been used to last couple of years and always had a stigma with fords but thought id give it ago, and I'm very impressed tbh, pokey enough for me at the moment and has good spec/comfortability. Best bit imo is the gearbox though! 2nd best manual box I've had behind the 350z. nice and short and precise. 
It's a 2006 Facelift Fiesta Zetec-s, It's not completely mint and the body work could do with tidying up etc, just need to get around to it.
Stuff done:
Sourced correct bumper
replaced a wheel as was buckled
Aux cable fitted to standard head unit
LED number plate bulbs
Colour coded door mirror cover.
Possible To do list:
Spray/replace door handles.
Spray/source side strips
spray/source boot strip
Lower on springs
replace rear plate if i dont put my private ones on
polish/clay paint work
shampoo interior
Change pads
Half leather/leather Interior

nice cars. i might have some leftover bits in my dads garage, will have a look when i go over there.
leather gear gaitors are only a tenner and look so much better.
might be able to get you some bits from ford with discount if you need anything.
also agree about the gearbox, so direct and precise. Although mine had a problem going from 1st to 2nd at max rev's (traffic light grand prix'), kept crunching.

a mates just got one at work and say the only things he could possibly fault it on is its not loud enough and fuel consumption is quite bad doing long journeys everyday

I have a shonky 2004 1.4 16v Flame (so pre-facelift unlike yours) now and I have to say it's great. Much more refined than Lily's 1.2 16v Twinport 2006 Corsa C.
The only problem I find is the tax and MPG is woeful. My Sales Managers 2.0T petrol Audi A5 is £10 less to tax over 12 months, and returns better MPG. Figure that one out.
I recommend these Fro - cheaper than bespoke fit but just as good.

iirc i was getting 28mpg average around town in mine. not the best but most ford cars suffer from this.

I used to get 270 miles out of my tank no matter how I drive it. But that was £40 to fill. I miss those days

Very nice. I have the tdci version with all the st bits put on. Looking for a set of wheels now but the ST ones are pretty expensive.

MPG wise im getting 37ish pootling around and 40's on mway/dual carriageway, really not hooning it about though!
Fad - I said terry tibbs as in talk to me when we were talking bout your bimmer
Seany - Not sure how they'd look will have a play with photoshop and see.
Eck - Seen a few sets on ebay etc and was going to buy a set isntead of replacing the buckled will but i shouldnt be throwing cash at it as the idea is to save money, will have to see how long I intend to keep it as i dont even know if ill bother putting my plate on it.

Really like these, driven one and can say the handling and box is nice like you say. The one I drove was the tdci one and it was quite pokey.
really good looking cars too and if you can find a set of cheap ebaich springs or something even better

There are Ford spec Eibach springs for these IIRC that was an optional extra.

I have the ford spec eibach springs and tbh it fucking hates the bumps. I thought the shocks were knackered at first but it's just passed its MOT on Monday and there fine.

Does anyone happen to know if the TDCi version of this is worth having?
IMO they look smart so I'm hoping the drive isn't too disappointing

the tdci's are good engines, 90bhp or circa 120bhp with a remap with loads of torque.

Am I right in thinking they only come in a 5 speed? Any idea if they're bearable on a motorway etc?
