Sooner someone sorts this out the better.

£39.97 to sell a £725 TV.

Paypal fees were about £20 as well.

Absolutely daft.

Probably, no interest in here, had a local guy for cash but he lost the auction to some guy miles away for £25 more but it's costing loads to do the deal.

Had similar when I looked to sell my phone recently. Was going to land up costing me £20-£25 in fees if it sold. Piss take! Haven't used ebay for years and cant see me using it any time soon. I sold the phone via facebook in the end.

I use eBay for small stuff and Gumtree for expensive / large items. Gumtree has worked very well so far.

There fees soon mount up on small things aswell. 10p here 20p there on a item that sells for a few quid.

Yeah, they do. But the small stuff I put on eBay tends just to be stuff I want rid of and getting a couple of quid for them is better than just chucking them out.

Have to agree it is very expensive but with little other alternatives it's usually the only option. Has also enabled a lot of people to sell on eBay who would have had to sell locally before who aren't on forums etc.

Its only 8.28% of the final fee, which is very cheap in terms of auctions! Most auctions are 15-20%
