How is it that it's the 24th of November and we have had no signs of snow, cold or hard frost?
Normally at this time of the year I would expect to be scraping windows every morning and wearing a coat on the journey to work.
When is it going to get cold?

Oddly enough, it's a bit like a heated rear windscreen but on the front

Heated Windscreens made my life last year. Fire the car up, front and rear screens on by the time you've scraped the side windows, you're all done and set to go. Got it on both the Jag and Disco, only thing missing that the ex had on the Vogue is a heated steering wheel which was awesome on a cold morning.
As for the weather, some of the trees outside my office still have green leaves on them

Been saying this for the last couple of weeks, so much for Global Warming.
We're in for a mild winter, it's not even cold enough to warrant a pair of gloves yet.

This time last year it was snowing, my mum was up for my sons birthday which was yesterday and had to leave to go home in the snow. It was actually warmer today than it has been for a few days.

You say that but I reckon it'll just mean a bigger difference between the extremes. When it gets cold it's going to get COLD.

It really won't be a mild winter, it'll just be later this year, mid-end of Dec through to end of Feb I reckon, and it will be horribly cold again

Can't see it, I bet it's nowhere near as bad as last year.

It was a Friday, works night out, I got a cab half way to town and got out because there were cars abandoned everywhere and we couldn't get through, walked the rest of the way and by the time I got to the bar everyone had got off
No cabs, no buses, walked to the train station, no trains, carried on walking. By the time I got home it had stopped and the cabs were back on
Driving this year.

i dont want it to get cold..
normally my mornings consist of..
de-ice the windscreen and windows
de-icing the door lock with warm water
de-ice the inside of the windscreen
turn engine on and realise the gearstick has frozen in neutral
de-ice the boot
pour continuous amounts of warm water over the gearbox cable until they thaw
get in and drive to work.

Hate cold. I have to de ice the outside of the astra, then get in a de ice the inside, then the outside has froze again so have to de ice the outside again, then the car doesnt heat up till you have actually driven somewhere so have to drive along looking through the world smallest gap that the shit heater have managed to demist. All with my fan belt squealing away
