Anybody get one?

I suffer from mild Asthma so i get offered it from the NHS.

Not really concerned about the actually jab, my question is.

I go to the gym M,T,T,F and today is biceps and back day.

Don't really want to miss out as i've already taken a step back after having food poisoning 2 weeks ago.

Will i be ok to still go the gym? Had a look at FAQs about the jab and it said you can but to take it easy...

Anyone ever had the jab then beasted @ the gym after?

Had the jab when I was pregnant, my arm ached after but that was it. Why dont you just have one day off, or not work on your arms? or take it easy like the FAQs say?

Man up and deal with the cold when you get it instead.

Unfortunatly i've hit a plateau going 3 days a week and yesterday i was feeling strong so would like to capitalize on that.

Just thinking that they would say take it easy as it seems like the logicaly safe thing to do. I'm just wondering whether there would be any real implications or not.

I see no logical reason to not get it...

Get it then.

I don't do jabs as I think they're shite. I've known a few people get mumps after having the MMR/Autism jab

I went for a Flu Jab about a Month ago.

The Nurse said : "I hope you are not afraid of Needles"

I squinted one eye and replied : "I fucking love Needles"

If he gets full blown Influenza then he could be off Work for at least 2 Weeks. Perhaps he does not get paid Sick Leave, also impact to the Economy if everyone goes down with Flu. There are plenty of reasons to have the Jab.

One of the girls I train with is in her 20`s and last time she had full blown Flu she actually ended up in Hospital.

It's not like anyone having the Jab is trying to protect agaisnt the common cold and if they believe this is what the Jab provides then they are just misinformed.

This years one is the best yet for lack of reactions etc.

I work in a hospital so got it done. Slight dead arm feeling for that evening then that was it. Back to normal

I'm sure this won't apply to the majority, but just an update on how it went.

Got the jab. (Bitch started talking about Hawaii and as a resulted started day dreaming of Hawaii, then BOOM, bitch pricked me in the arm )

As for the gym, didn't really notice anything, worked out as normal and everything was fine... Bit of a stiff arm later at night but thats just the usual!

Apparently the Nurse told me that one of the strains that the jab protected against was swine flu. Thought that was a seperate vaccine?

It may be that the new flu vaccine this year covers both so you don't have to get two injections. It was 2 years ago I got the swine flu jab I think. Or was it last year...think it was 2 years ago.

I can never tell if you are joking or not.

you cannot get flu from a flu vaccine, it is an attenuated version of the virus and non infectious. I assume he just had a reaction to it.
