Letter from HMRC today, I overpaid tax on year 2006/2007 and they've sent me a cheque for £620.

Couldnt have come at a better time as i've just paid my car insurance and cChristmas is just round the corner

I got 3 different ones for different years adding up to 1k, but only got 1 cheque for one of the years. Should I expect another 2 cheques or have I misread it? I Couldn't understand the letter

For my ppi i just rang one of the companies on tv.. they send some forms, i filled them out complete with loan ref numbers... wait 4 months and boom.. im actually still waiting on a 580 payment from natwest

probably would of been more if you just phoned the bank.



I helped a older guy at my work do his.

I was telling him I claimed mine, and he told me he had always been with the same bank, always had loans out with them, back in the day he was told he couldnt get a loan without PPI


I put forward his claim 8 weeks ago now, he recieved a check on Thursday for just over £10k

He couldnt keep the smile off his face at work.

I got a huge letter back about why i had a choice and they wouldnt pay out for my big loan but then said they would for my others, but 10K fuck a duck thats a bonus!!

I've only ever had a 1k loan and a credit card which never had more than 1500 on it. Is it even worth me looking into it

Yes but back pre 2005 companys forced it upon people or they couldn't have the loan, this is where it all stems from.

So saying no, got you no loan.
